In recent years, the rapid development of online shopping has significantly increased the demand for efficient logistics services. This study aims to compare the timeliness and accuracy of logistics delivery between reseller platforms and traditional e-commerce shopping platforms.
With the growing popularity of online shopping, the performance of logistics services has become a critical factor influencing customer satisfaction. Reseller platforms, which act as intermediaries between buyers and sellers, and traditional e-commerce platforms, which directly sell products, often have different logistics strategies. This study explores how these differences impact the timeliness and accuracy of deliveries.
This research was conducted by analyzing delivery data from a sample of 100 orders each from a popular reseller platform and a leading e-commerce shopping platform. Data regarding delivery times, accuracy of shipments, and customer feedback were collected and compared.
The findings suggest that e-commerce platforms generally provide more timely and accurate deliveries compared to reseller platforms. The direct control over logistics operations by e-commerce platforms likely contributes to their superior performance. However, reseller platforms can enhance their logistics efficiency by adopting better inventory management and partnering with reliable logistics providers.
This study underscores the importance of efficient logistics operations in the online shopping ecosystem. Both reseller platforms and e-commerce platforms need to continuously improve their logistics strategies to meet customer expectations and stay competitive in the market.
